EP198: Initiating Stronger Relationships with Our Children with Vanessa Quigley (@chatbooks)

Powered by RedCircle

My guess is if you surveyed any mom, she’d likely tell you she desires more intentional time with her child(ren). Whether she’s a working mom or stay-at-home mom, our days fill up fast. Not to mention, as our family grows or, inevitably, as our children grow older, it can be tricky to find the time to intentionally pursue them. Tricky but not impossible. Here today to offer wisdom from her own experience as the mother to seven children is founder of Chatbooks, Vanessa Quigley. She talks about what she’s done to initiate stronger relationships with each of them and how we can apply some of these methods in our own lives.

About Vanessa

Vanessa Quigley is the co-founder of Chatbooks, a subscription photo book company that makes it ridiculously easy to share, print, and enjoy your family memories. As the Chatbooker-in-Chief, Vanessa is deeply involved in all aspects of the business with keen attention to all creative and product design choices. Chatbooks was founded in 2014 as Vanessa’s brainchild after realizing her youngest son didn’t have his own childhood scrapbook. Throughout Chatbooks' growth, Vanessa has been firm in her commitment to promoting equality for parents in the workplace. She is proud to say that women hold the majority of leadership positions at Chatbooks. Vanessa was named Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year in 2017, authored Real Moms, Real Hacks, and hosts The MomForce Podcast. She has a degree in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from Brigham Young University, sings (opera!) whenever she can, enjoys the theater, being in the mountains with her family, and finding the humor in life – especially while raising a growing family!
